Plate-rod pumps Sampi Z et al.
The Z-series plate-rod pumps are designed with six blades, drive mechanisms and a patented thrust needle bearing designed for 4,000 pounds. Thrust needle roller bearings protect the pump from dynamic shock loads generated by the drive system. In trucks, premature failures due to axial loads are minimized. Thanks to the O-ring design, they are designed for an operating pressure of 400 psi (28.6 bar). Since the Z-model plate pumps are mainly used in liquefied petroleum gas (propane and butane) and in agriculture with ammonia, the unregulated internal safety valve is pre-configured at the factory and does not require adjustment in the field.
The Z series pumps are an excellent option for other liquefied gases with high vapor pressure, such as liquefied natural gas (LPG), refrigerants, CO2 and many others. Applications include pumping bulk materials, propane delivery truck, and transportation. Available in sizes 2, 3 and 4 inches.
